Day 2 - Arrival in Buenos Aires
Upon arrival, you will be met after clearing customs and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, we join a city tour of Buenos Aires, an impressive city that combines the atmosphere of an old European town with the features of a Latin American capital. In this tour, you will come to appreciate its characteristics, its history, its architecture, its culture and its best stories. We will visit the center of the city, San Telmo, La Boca, Puerto Madero and Palermo, and stops in Plaza de Mayo, Caminito and La Recoleta.
Day 3
Full-day excursion to an estancia for a typical barbeque lunch and a folklore/gaucho show. Here we will learn about the customs of the Argentinean gauchos, and their abilities on horseback that will leave you breathless. The meat will be cooked a lo gaucho outdoors on the barbeque. Afternoon, return to Buenos Aires.
Day 4
Enjoy the day at leisure exploring Buenos Aires.
At night we celebrate the city of tango. You will be treated to an unforgettable tango show performed by the best dancers and singers, while enjoying a delicious meal. Return to the hotel.
Day 5
Enjoy the day at leisure exploring Buenos Aires.
Day 6 - Buenos Aires/Mendoza
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Mendoza. Upon arrival in Mendoza, you will be met at the airport by a private vehicle with an English speaking guide, and you will be transferred to your hotel. Depending on the arrival time, you will be taken on a private guided wine tasting tour with lunch or dinner. You will leave the hotel and head to Luján de Cuyo and, depending on the time of day, you will first visit a winery for an introduction to the flavors of the area. Afterwards, you will be escorted to Cava de Cano, a restaurant with a cellar and a small winery. There, an expert sommelier will be waiting for you for a special tasting that may be of same varietals but from different harvests (vertical wine tasting) or different varietals (comparative wine tasting). After the wine tasting, you will be delight with a very traditional Argentine “Picada” of various meats, cheeses, breads and vegetables, paired with wines from the house winery before returning to the hotel. The estimated duration of this tour is 06 hours. Private transfers, winery tasting, technical guide, expert sommelier and lunch (or dinner) with wines at a winery are included. Overnight at hotel.
Day 7
This day you will enjoy a Mountain Bike excursion. You will be able to choose between for beginner level of 10 km mountain bike through Potrerillos Valley or to Rucahue Mountain, for more advanced passengers.
For Potrerillos Valley biking adventure, a regular transfer will pick you up from the Hotel in order to enjoy mountain biking through Potrerillos Valley. This excursion advance 10 km, last 02 hours and has a moderate difficulty. The minimum age required is 10 years old. After ending the activity, a regular vehicle will transfer you back to the Hotel.
Optional: The mountain bike to Rucahue is a 02.30 hours excursion which advance 15 km. Rucahue is a more advanced adventure than Potrerillos Valley, its difficulty is hard and the minimum age required is 12 years old.
The excursion included in this programme for this day is to Potrerillos Valley, Rucahue is optional. The supplement for taking the Rucahue excursion is detailed at the end of the programme.
Both excursions are led by experienced bilingual professional guides and provide a unique way to view the beautiful surroundings of Mendoza and include bicycle, helmet, round trip transfers and mineral water. Return to your hotel for overnight.
Day 8
Leave the hotel early in the morning in order to visit one of Argentina's most important wine regions: Lujan de Cuyo. The tour starts by visiting the vineyards of the Tapiz Winery and finishes with a wine tasting straight from the barrels to cultivate tasting techniques and recognize various flavors. Afterwards, visit and taste wines at Achaval Ferrer Winery, known for the elaboration of some of the most prestigious wines of Argentina. The next stop will be at Ruca Malen Winery where you will taste wines in a lovely room, followed by lunch facing the magnificent Andes Mountain Range. Finally, visit the Carmelo Patti Winery where you will be welcomed by Carmelo himself, one of the most remarkable winemakers in Argentina. Today you will enjoy a great experience, learning about grape variety with remarkable flavors and how to pair these elements with different meals and courses. The estimated duration of this tour is 08 hours. Private transfers, winery tasting, technical guide and lunch with wines at a winery are included. Return to your hotel for overnight.
Day 9
Today is the Trekking day, so you can choose the excursion that you like the most depending on each personality, training and experience. Our proposals are the following:
Cocodrilo Hill: Moderate difficulty. This is a 3 hours trekking for all ages. This is the easiest option for those who want to have a glance of the activity and the area.
Quebrada Del Salto Waterfalls with rappel: Moderate difficulty. This is a 3 hours tour that combines trekking and 18 meters rappel. This is the moderate option for those who desire to feel the rappel experience.
Cabras Hill: This is a 5 hours tour at 2160 meters over the sea level, that combines trekking and 18 meters rappel. This is the hardest option, designed for experienced people.
These three excursions include regular transfers, bilingual guides, box lunch and mineral water. Return to your hotel for overnight.
Day 10
Mendoza is joined to Santiago de Chile by 341 km of the most remarkable mountain route. A private transfer with Spanish/English speaking guide will pick you up early in the morning. First, you will visit Potrerillos Valley, its dike and beautiful mountains. There will also be a stop at Uspallata Valley and the Puente Del Inca natural formation. At 15 kilometers from the border with Chile, you will be able to appreciate the Americas highest peak, Mt. Aconcagua (at 6959 meters over the sea level). For lunch, you will be delighted with a gourmet picnic. Along the route you will pick a place of preference either next to a mountain or by river, always surrounded by the amazing Andes Mountain Range. Return to your hotel for overnight.
Day 11 – Mendoza/Buenos Aires/Miami
Transfer from your hotel to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires, arrival at the domestic airport and transfer to the international airport for your flight back home.
